As women age, their skin tends to become dry, the result of a decline in estrogen.
These products are especially effective at combating dryness, according to Dr. Baumann.

Women with sensitive skin shouldn’t use just any skin-care products.
Redness and flushing are common among women who got a lot of sun exposure in their youth, says Dr. Baumann. She recommends products containing anti-inflammatory ingredients such as feverfew, aloe vera, chamomile, mushroom extract, and licorice extract. In particular, the following products are good for those with sensitive skin:

The skin loses collagen with age, causing wrinkles and fine lines, as well as sagging.
The most effective treatment for wrinkled skin is a prescription-strength vitamin A cream, also known as a retinoid. Dr. Baumann prescribes Avage, RetinA, and Differin. She also recommends the following over-the-counter treatments:
