Biscuit and Ham Appetizers

(Makes 20 servings)

  • 2 1/4 cups, biscuit mix
  • 2/3 cup, half-and-half
  • 1/3 pound, shaved ham
  • mustard marmalade spread (recipe follows)

In bowl, mix together biscuit mix and half-and-half. Sprinkle breadboard with small amount of biscuit mix. Place dough on board, and knead 10 to 12 times. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Use two-inch biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Re-form dough, roll out one-half inch thick, and cut out additional biscuits, making 20 total.

Bake in preheated 450-degree oven for 8 to 9 minutes. Cool.

Split biscuits, spread on one-half teaspoon mustard marmalade spread, and top with shaved ham. Place on biscuit top, and secure with toothpick.

Note: To make 1/4 cup of mustard marmalade spread, simply combine 2 tablespoons of Dijon-style mustard with 2 tablespoons of marmalade.
